Bracken Fern Dyed Burgundy

Bracken Fern Dyed Burgundy is bracken fern dyed a deep wine red, sold in 25-stem bunches on 55 cm stems. Bracken is a broad, flat, triangular frond with a hard architectural outline, and burgundy is the colour it is almost always dyed for, because the dye lands as a saturated oxblood that reads near-black in low light and wine-red in daylight. It is dried rather than fresh, so it takes no water and will not wilt — which makes it the material of choice for autumn and moody palettes built weeks ahead of the event. PetalDriven ships greenery farm-direct and overnight anywhere in the US with free shipping, at wholesale prices with no tax ID required.

Features of This Dyed Greenery

Vase Life Indefinite — dried material doesn't wilt, though colour fades with light
Sold As 25-stem bunches

Good For

  • Autumn, oxblood and moody palettes
  • Dried and everlasting arrangements
  • Long-lead work built ahead of the event
  • Bouquet backing, collars and texture
  • Centerpieces and tablescapes
  • Garlands, arches and installations
  • DIY wedding and event flowers

Shipping Info

  • Free US shipping on every order.
  • Ships FedEx Priority Overnight for next-day delivery.
  • Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday.
  • There's no delivery timing to get right on this one. Dried and dyed greenery doesn't wilt, so order it as far ahead as you like and build with it whenever suits — weeks before the event if you want.
  • Arrives boxed and unarranged, with no signature required. Unpack the box flat and lift stems out individually rather than pulling a bunch by the tops.

Care and Processing Instructions

  1. Never put this in water. It is dried and dyed, not fresh. Water stains the fronds, softens the stems and ruins the shape.
  2. Unbox flat and lift stems out individually. Dried bracken is crisp and will snap if you bend it rather than flex.
  3. Expect the dye to transfer, and plan for it. Dyed material can come off onto hands and will mark clothing and tablecloths — FloraLife's guidance is to warn the customer at the point of sale. Deep burgundy is among the worst for showing on a white linen.
  4. Expect some shedding whenever it's handled. That's normal for dried stock rather than damage — work over a bin or a sheet if you want it contained.
  5. If the fronds look crushed from shipping, hang the bunch upside down for a day or two and they relax back out.
  6. Keep it out of direct sunlight. UV fades dyed colour faster than anything else, and burgundy shifts brown as it goes.
  7. Keep it dry. Humidity is what ruins dried stock — a damp garage or basement will soften and mould it.
  8. Dust it gently rather than washing it. Stored dry and shaded, it holds its look indefinitely.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Every greenery order is backed by PetalDriven's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If your stems arrive damaged or in poor condition, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and your order number, and we'll make it right with a refund or exchange.

Dyed material sheds when handled and varies in tone from stem to stem. Neither is a defect. Colour transfer onto hands, fabric or surfaces is a property of dyed stock rather than a fault, and staining caused by it is not covered. Nor is damage caused by putting dried stems in water.

Email info@petaldriven.com or call 1-888-738-2529. To qualify, follow the care instructions above. Claims submitted without photos or after the 48-hour window can't be accepted. See our full refund policy.

Your flowers will arrive in a floral box, wrapped up in a protective paper or plastic sleeve. Once you open the box:

  • First unwrap the flowers and give them some room to breathe. They’ve just made a long trip so don’t worry if they look like they’re a little sleepy- just think of how you would feel after getting off an international flight!
  • Have a bucket or vase with a few inches of water ready, and remove any foliage on the stems that might fall below the water line.
  • The next step is to cut the stems with floral shears or a sharp knife about 1 inch from the bottoms. It’s always best to cut them at an angle, so that the flowers have even more space to drink from- water is their best friend!
  • Then, simply place them in the water, and keep them indoors in a cool, dry place away from any heaters, air conditioning drafts, or direct sunlight and you’re ready to go!
  • We recommend allowing the flowers to hydrate for at least 4-6 hours before starting to work with them, but the more time the better.
  • Typically we recommend that our customers have their flowers arrive a few days prior to their event in order to give them the opportunity to hydrate and start to open so they can look perfect for showtime!

Your roses will arrive in a floral box, wrapped up in a protective cardboard or paper sleeve. Once you open the box:

  • For roses, we recommend keeping them in their cardboard during the first phase of hydration.
  • We recommend allowing the flowers to hydrate for at least 6-24 hours before removing the cardboard to work with them, but the more time the better.
  • Once they are removed from the packaging, gently remove any excess foliage, and begin to carefully peel off the outer "guard" petals of the roses, which can be identified by a thicker petal and possibly some green color toward the base of the petal.
  • Typically we recommend that our customers have their flowers arrive a few days prior to their event in order to give them the opportunity to hydrate and start to open so they can look perfect for showtime!

Succulents are surprisingly easy and fun to care for and propogate!

Your succulents will arrive in a floral box, wrapped with protective paper or bubble wrap.

For use as a rooted plant:

  • If you would like for your succulents to root, once removed from the box, place your succulents directly on any natural surface, such as soil, rocks, wood, moss, or just about anything else!
  • Next, give them a few spritzes of water from a spray bottle 2-3 times per week.
  • Within about a week or so, you will start to see roots beginning to poke out of the bottom of the succulent
  • Take a moment and congratulate yourself on becoming an official succulent grower!

If you are using your succulents in a floral design or bouquet, we recommend the pick method:

  • Turn your succulent upside down so that you can see the round base at the bottom
  • Take a sharp pointed pick like a bamboo skewer (or even a toothpick for smaller succulents) and line it up with the circular base at the bottom of the succulent
  • Applying some pressure, start twisting the pick into the base of the succulent so that you pierce the bottom and insert the pick firmly into the base of the succulent
  • Now that you've got your "succulent in a stick", you can insert it into any bouquet or floral design for a gorgeous desert chic look

Your greens will arrive in a floral box, and may be wrapped up in a protective paper or plastic sleeve. Once you open the box:

  • First unwrap the greens and give them some room to breathe.
It’s always best to cut them at an angle, so that the greens have even more space to drink from- water is their best friend!
  • Then, simply place them in the water, and keep them indoors in a cool, dry place away from any heaters, air conditioning drafts, or direct sunlight and you’re ready to go! We recommend allowing the greens to hydrate for at least 4-6 hours before starting to work with them, but the more time the better.
  • We typically recommend ordering your greens to arrive 2-3 days before your event, although since greens typically have a longer shelf life than flowers (7-14 days), you can also order them to be delivered earlier with no worries.

Your Dried Flowers will arrive ready to use. Please note that dried flowers can be extremely delicate and it is completely normal for some shedding to occur during shipment. Upon receiving your flowers please:

  • Do not place in water.
  • Handle with care.
  • Keep flowers out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.
